Works with senior managers of marketing and fundraising teams to plan and execute public relations, fundraising and other internal and external communication strategies. Effectively develops content and information that convey the achievements, people, programs and initiatives of KUER and reflects the station’s brand and audience.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities
•Plans, coordinates and executes effective communications for the marketing and fundraising departments of KUER , which align with the institutional goals and mission of the station
•Develops marketing content for use in print, visual and online media, including but not limited to: press releases, social media, publications, newsletters, videos, blogs, etc.
•Develops fundraising content for use in print, online media, including printed distribution, on-air, newsletters, etc.
•Consistently manages multiple deadline driven projects on a weekly and monthly basis
•Produces content representative of differing voices and personalities
•Assists with the editing of multiple projects, including but not limited to, website, grants, proposals, direct mail pieces, and digital text
•Collaborate with KUER news staff on station style guide
•Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications: Required: Resume, Cover Letter, and one of the following Writing Samples: Press Release, Marketing Newsletter, or Solicitation Letter

Preferences

•Strong writing and copy editing skills

•Expertise in web and newsletter production

•Familiarity with and ability to execute Associated Press, APA and MLA writing styles

•Demonstrated understanding of a nonprofit media environment and fundraising strategy

•Ability to work effectively with people throughout a large organization
