West Valley Arts announces auditions for their production of Arsenic and Old Lace on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Auditions will be held at Harman Theatre, 3333 South Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City.

Arsenic and Old Lace is scheduled to run October 1 through October 26, 2020 at Harman Theatre. Rehearsals begin August 17, 2020. The production is directed by Josh Richardson.

Auditions will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Needed are men and women of all ethnicities to play character roles. All roles are open, single cast and will be paid.

Those who audition must come prepared with a one-minute comedic monologue.

To schedule an audition appointment visit www.wvcarts.org/auditions.html. Bring a headshot, resume and completed audition form. Character descriptions and audition forms are available at www.wvcarts.org/auditions.html. Walk-ins are welcome; come early and be prepared to wait until an opening is available.

Due to current circumstances, all those auditioning in person are required to wear a mask and will have their temperature checked upon arrival. You may only remove your mask during the audition. Social distancing will be adhered to in the audition room and waiting area.

Video submissions will be allowed for the audition. The director requests that the video shows the actor’s full body, begin by stating your name and the source material for the monologue, and please make sure to double check lighting and sound on the recording before submitting. To submit a video audition, email headshot, completed audition form and a link for the audition video to melanie.budge@wvc-ut.gov. Auditions must be submitted no later than Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm.

Call backs will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 and are by invitation only. Those invited to call backs are required to wear masks and there will be social distancing.
