We're excited to announce our open call for painting & sculpture! This year, all submissions will be accepted digitally and selected works will be presented in a virtual exhibition.

Our jurors will select a Best of Show award ($1,000), six Jurors' Awards ($600), and two Honorable Mention awards. One People’s Choice award will be selected by the public.

GUIDELINES & APPLICATION

Are you applying to the Statewide Annual Exhibition in Painting & Sculpture for the first time?

We are offering free professional artwork photography for first-time applicants. Each artist can have up to two (2) artworks photographed for their Statewide Annual submission. We will be accepting up to 100 artworks to be photographed. All artworks must be painting and/or sculpture only. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

How does it work?
Register by clicking the button below to fill out the registration form.
Receive an email confirming your registration.
Drop-off your work on Thursday or Friday, October 8th & 9th from NOON - 6 PM at the Art Haus on 310 South 500 West in Salt Lake City.
Your artwork will be photographed by a professional object photographer.
Pick-up your work on Monday or Tuesday, October 19th & 20th from NOON - 6 PM
You will receive an email with high-res images of your artwork by Tuesday, October 20th.

Our 2020 Jurors

We are honored to have Edra Soto and Pooja Pittie join us for this year's juried exhibition.

Puerto Rican born, Edra Soto is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, curator, and co-director of the outdoor project space THE FRANKLIN, in Chicago. Her upbringing and relationships with communities in Puerto Rico and the US inform her artistic practice. Her recent projects, which are motivated by civic and social actions, prompt viewers to reconsider cross-cultural dynamics, the legacy of colonialism, and personal responsibility. She is invested in providing visual and educational models propelled by empathy and generosity. She is a lecturer for the Contemporary Practices Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, from which she received an MFA.

Pooja Pittie was born and raised in Mumbai, India, she moved to the U.S. in 1999. An MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business led her to a career in Finance and Entrepreneurship. In 2016, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion for art and shifted her focus to painting full-time. Pooja has an incurable and progressive form of muscular dystrophy and her painting process explores the constantly changing relationship between an often slow body and an active mind. She is represented by the McCormick Gallery in Chicago.
