Continuing an annual tradition, the May exhibit at Urban Arts Gallery features fan art from the Star Wars universe and beyond. This show invites local artists to submit art celebrating their favorite franchises from popular geek culture, such as Marvel, DC Comics, and other beloved sci-fi and fantasy titles. The result is always a diverse and delightful collection of artwork for fans of all ages.

The deadline to submit is April 21st, 2021. We will notify you of our decision via email no later than April 28th, 2021.
If selected, your artwork will be due to the gallery, finished and ready to hang, by May 2nd. This exhibit will hang from May 4th – May 30th, 2021.

ABOUT THE THEME:
“Star Wars / Heroes and Villains” is a collection of fan art from the Star Wars universe and beyond. Fan art celebrating other pop/geek culture franchises is also acceptable. For example, Marvel/DC, Star Trek, Rick and Morty, Back to the Future, Aliens, etc. are all fair game for this show.
Submissions should be fan art, and should reference pop/geek culture in some way. A generic space painting, on the other hand, would not be appropriate for this exhibit.
