Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) and University Advancement seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic development professional to advance the theatre in reaching and maximizing its contributed revenue to support its artistic mission. The Director of Development is a key executive role reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Philanthropy Officer for Campus, working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board. The Director of Development is pivotal in establishing and deepening relationships with institutional and individual donors at all levels, engaging in cultivation and stewardship, and providing guidance and support to the development team for grants and sponsorships as well as special events.

Responsibilities
Work with the Managing Director to develop short- and long-term fundraising goals for the Theatre and to develop case- and project-statement that may be used in grant proposals and solicitations;
Create and implement a comprehensive plan to grow PTC’s donor base and increase philanthropic revenue and government grants over time to meet artistic and institutional goals;
Identify and strategize the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors, maintaining a portfolio of major gift prospects;
Strategically expand corporate partnerships/sponsorships, developing funding opportunities and building relationships with marketing and philanthropic divisions of companies and businesses;
Work with University Advancement to coordinate donor strategies and expand the donor pool with prospect research;
Supervise, mentor, and work in partnership with a development team of two, including establishing fundraising benchmarks and tracking progress;
Serves as primary liaison to the Board, the Development Chair, Managing Director, and the Artistic Director for all fundraising activities;
Work closely with all PTC departments, including Artistic, Production, Company Management, Marketing and Patron Services.
