On Friday, September 23 at 7:00pm at Mountain Ridge Jr. High, Jason Lyle Black, will be partnering with The J. Wesley Foundation to host a benefit concert to share the gift of music with deserving young artists and promote teen mental health awareness. The J. Wesley Foundation was founded last year with the loss of J. Wesley Buckner.
Wes was a very talented artist and his family wanted to share his love of music with others. Last year, the foundation’s first concert was held and enough funds were raised to giveaway four pianos to deserving youth in Utah and Idaho.
This year, the goal is to raise enough money for a college scholarship (for someone majoring in the fine arts) and to give away one piano to a deserving young artist. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the AFSP and to help with teen mental health awareness.
