Join us in beautiful Green River, Utah for the town’s first annual Green River Rock & Mineral Festival! Hosted by the John Wesley Powell Museum, the Festival will feature rock & mineral vendors, mineral collecting field trips, and fun for the whole family. Festivities begin Friday evening March 31st with a lecture on important dinosaur discoveries in the Green River area by Dr. Jim Kirkland. Vendors, craft demonstrators and family activities will be set up on the museum grounds from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Experts will be leading field trips to Fossil Point, Moab Dinosaur Tracks, and Petroglyph sites during the festival as well. Green River hosts plenty of lodging and developed camping in town and also scenic dispersed camping in the surrounding canyons.
