Sundance Institute Student Screening: Deidra and L...

Special FREE screening for student and teachers. Sundance Institute presents the 2017 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection Deidra & Laney Rob a Train. Filmmaker Sydney Freeland will attend the film screening and participate in a question and answer session (Q&A) with students following the film. The film was was shot entirely in Utah and a number of key scenes in the Ogden area!

Deidra & Laney Rob a Train / U.S.A. (Director: Sydney Freeland, Screenwriter: Shelby Farrell) — Two teenage sisters start robbing trains to make ends meet after their single mother’s emotional meltdown in an electronics store lands her in jail. Cast: Ashleigh Murray, Rachel Crow, Tim Blake Nelson, David Sullivan, Danielle Nicolet, Sasheer Zamata.

This screening is open to Utah-based high school and junior high school students and teachers who participate as a class field trip. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate individual students attending on their own.

Parking Info

Street parking is available limited for 2 hours until after 6:00pm. There is also parking behind the theater off on Kiesel Avenue for $5 charge. Free parking is available one block west at The Junction (behind the Megaplex 13 theater) on 24th and Grant. We are south and east of the free parking.
