Chugga Chugga Choo Choo… Train Day!! May 10, 10am-8pm OPEN LATE!
The First Annual Train Day is to commemorate our ten year anniversary of making trains part of the experience at This Is The Place. As you may know this is also the date of the last spike being driven to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad May 10, 1869. To celebrate this milestone, we have added a brand new fourth train, the Betsy Jane and we’ll have an entire day filled with reenactments of the driving of the golden spike at 12, 4pm, 7pm and other fun commemorative events. Our extended hours will allow you to bring your children after school and in the evening for this fun day of activities. Wasatch N-scaler’s will have a model railroad layout in Smoot Hall and there will be a G-Scale Train layout on the upper floor of the Visitor Center. There will be fun Railroad crafts for everyone. All Aboard! We will see you May 10th!
$5 admission for everyone, 2 and under are free and as always for annual pass holders there is no charge.
