Presented by Ogden Contemporary Arts at PLATFORMS

The ‘x” in TEDx signifies a locally-organized event, but an X can signify so much more, all of which apply to Ogden, its history and its people, reflected in the works by 8 local artists: Adam Ritchie, Lindsay Huss, Collin Noortman Chandler, Amir Jackson, Venessa Catagnoli, Holly Morphet, Manuel Garcia and Emily Ann Dalton.

The issue of the deeper symbolism of the X, speaking to the crossroad, is the larger metaphor — here, the idea of the graphical device represents a place, it’s where people meet; it is the intersection — the center of the universe of communing and community; it could be the marketplace, the nexus… it is here… you might hold in your heart. This exhibition is sponsored in part by Zions Bank, Roosters Brewing, and Weber County.  Programming at O1ARTS | PLATFORMS is made possible with the generous support of Utah Division of Arts and Museums, Weber County RAMP, Ogden City Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
