Bug Brigade

Bug Brigade

Presented by Natural History Museum of Utah at Natural History Museum of Utah

Twice a month we offer visitors an opportunity to observe and handle live bugs to learn about these arthropods’ anatomy, behavior and important ecological roles. Bug Brigade occurs on every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 2 p.m.-4 p.m.

With this program we are encouraging visitors to overcome misconceptions that bugs are creepy pests. We offer a deeper understanding of these creatures and hope that the Bug Brigade inspires backyard bug investigations after the visit.

The NHMU Entomology Department has supported the expansion of this program by adding new bugs to the Brigade and offering activities for visitors in attendance.
