The Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra hosts the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir in a performance of Carols of Christmas, and the audience is invited to sing along!
The Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra has invited the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir to ring in the season with “Carols of Christmas,” and the community is invited to sing along!
Performances, to be presented November 30 and December 1, will feature something for everyone. There will be seasonal masterworks from Bizet, Holst, and Mendelssohn. The choir, under the direction of Erin Pike Tall, will sing carols arranged by beloved Utah composers Mack Wilberg and Barlow Bradford, together with new works by Dan Forrest and John Rutter.
There will be traditional favorites and new treasures, including everything from a whimsical jazz setting of “Ding, Dong! Merrily on High” to the midnight serenity of “The First Noel.” Leroy Anderson’s trademark jingle bells will feature prominently in his Christmas Festival, and the evening will end with a rousing sing-along for the audience.
