Echoes of Old Gods: Music from the Fringes of Euro...

Presented by Utopia Early Music at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral

Utopia explores new musical territory with this concert of Medieval works from northern and eastern Europe. The program features chant from Ireland, Greece, and Armenia, ancient folk tunes from Bulgaria and Georgia, Czech dances, and songs from Norway and Denmark, including the first Scandinavian tune that was ever written down. Shulamit Kleinerman (vielle) and Therese Honey (Gothic harp) join a trio of voices to bring this hauntingly beautiful and rarely heard music to life.
