A refreshing combination of abstract and figurative art by local Utah artists.
“As above, so below
As within, so without
As the universe, so the soul”
–Hermes Trismegistus
Our December exhibit “Within and Without” is a dynamic combination of abstract work and figurative work, exploring and celebrating the human experience from a multitude of angles. Local abstract artists use color, texture, and composition to express ineffable inner states, while figurative artists portray the outer human form with a broad spectrum of techniques, ranging from realism to expressionism. The result is a refreshingly diverse mix of approaches and styles, with something to offer for art lovers of all kinds.
Featured artists include: Alicia Cicalese, Bailey Hatcher, Bea Hurd, Chris Kirkham, Christina Levi, Debbie Joplin, Emma Goldgar, Garrett Phillips, Hank Mattson, Heather Olsen, Ivan Ramos, Jeovanni Xoumphonphackdy, Jill Bauer, Julie Fesko-Penman, Justin Grant, Lloyd Knowles, Maryann Paradise, Meg Warnock, Merissa Hansen, Michael Lawlor, Nathan Mulford, Sara Luna, Sofia Chimaras, Steve Rasmussen, Thomas Burdett, Tony Di Donato, Travis Braun, William Ramirez, and Zac Campbell.
