Creative Arts for Life Linocut Printing Class w/Ba...

Presented by South Salt Lake Arts Council and Bad Dog Arts at Columbus Community Center

Come learn the art of Linocut relief printmaking with Bad Dog Arts.  Brought to you by the South Salt Lake Arts Council.

Linocut is a relief printmaking process, attracting both professional and amateur artists. It’s
easy to learn and easy to do at home. We will carve an image into a linoleum block, apply ink
using a brayer, and then with pressure we will transfer it to paper. In this four week class artist
April Norby will walk you through the basics of linocut. We will start with a single color print
with the option of creating a multi-color print. With printmaking you are able to make multiples
of one image, which lends itself nicely to prints you can give as gifts as well as handmade cards
just in time for the holiday season.
