A Celebration of Women Piano Composers: Past & Present

Presented by Caine College of the Arts - Utah State University at Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall - Utah State University

This unique multimedia concert experience will combine sculpture, illustration, and solo and ensemble piano works written by women from 1800 through present. Sculptors Myles Howell and Ryoichi Suzuki will be presenting new pieces to be seen up close by audience members during the sculpture walk at intermission and Chuck Landvatter will be back again to create illustrations along with the music for the audience to watch come to life in real time. The premiered sculptures and artwork will be auctioned following the show and a portion of all proceeds will be donated to USU CAPSA. The music will be performed by USU piano faculty members Elzbieta Bilicka, Mayumi Matzen, Cahill Smith, and Emily Ezola and Kevin Olson of the Ezola/Olson piano duo.
