Creative Reuse and Upcycling: Fabric Animals

Creative Reuse and Upcycling: Fabric Animals

Presented by Natural History Museum of Utah at Natural History Museum of Utah

Creative reuse, or upcycling, is the process of converting old or discarded materials into something useful and beautiful. Bring the family and explore the multitentacled approached used by Clever Octopus, a locally based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to fostering creativity and environmental awareness. We’ll create junk bots and sculptures from miscellaneous parts, weave unique wall hangings, and create amazingly distinctive fabric animals—all while having fun together as a family. These classes are geared towards elementary-aged children and their adult/chaperone. No unattended children, adults must be accompanied by a child. One adult is required for every 2 children.
