ACME Session: Air Justice

ACME Session: Air Justice

Presented by Utah Museum of Fine Arts at Salt Lake City Public Library Chapman Branch

FREE | 6 pm | Salt Lake Public Library, Chapman Branch

Stagnated efforts to address air quality in the Salt Lake Valley have sparked a number of active citizens to call for action from our state government to tighten regulations, address the health impacts of bad air days, and encourage public behavioral change.

In this session, we want to focus on the inequities related to pollution in the Salt Lake Valley. We will explore the intersections between air quality, art, justice, energy, and democratic participation. This event will include a listening session to hear your thoughts and an opportunity to hear from the SLC Air Protectors, a Native-led non-profit organization whose mission is to improve air quality, protect the natural environment, and support Native American stewardship in Utah through inclusive grassroots organizing. Join us to share your knowledge and stories about the impact that our air quality has on you and your community, as well as where you want to hear your voice amplified.

The session will begin at 6 pm. Arrive early for refreshments!

Session leaders:
