Create, craft, and perform a story of your choosing while being guided by a master story facilitator.
Come to four 2-hour workshops to total 8 hours. The first half focuses on story development while the last half focuses on performance. These workshops are geared for ages 18-108. It is recommended to attend all four sessions though you can come to what you are able. This is held at the Taylorsville Senior Center, 4743 S. Plymouth View Dr., Salt Lake City UT 84123. A few people will be selected to tell during the upcoming Story Crossroads Festival on May 13, 2020, if interested. Otherwise, this is a great opportunity to polish some skills.
Special thanks for funding through the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and the Parks (ZAP). For a workshop handout and what is covered, go to http://www.storycrossroads.org/freeworkshops.
This is free. Call/text questions to Rachel Hedman at 801-870-5799. RSVPing is not required though helpful as there is limited space.
