Be a theater person! For the young aspiring theater professional to develop audition skills, acting techniques, stage presence and character development.

 

Start your career in professional theater—exploring your acting style, establish your audition repertoire, and learn the technical creation of performance. Join a supportive ensemble of young actors and actresses working together to create new works as well as practice and explore classics. Aligned and in support the DCS  jr. High & high school drama curriculum—students learn monologues, duo scenes, and improv for development of  competitive skills From preparing your first auditions to staging your own original talent show solo showcase piece—you can be the best at show the talent that you are.

 

Classes are a focused workshops for the creation of live performance staged at BDAC.

See this amazing  talent showcase of the members of The Theater Machine Ensemble cast.   From dramatic monologues to comedy routines, musical acts presented Variety Show style.   Think of it as your auditions of everyones heart!

 

Public Reading: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K Rowling

Friday the 13th of March, 6:00 pm. Saturday the 14th at 12PM and 7PM @ BDAC.

The Story before the story comes alive with reading of the Prequel to the Harry Potter Series.   Presented in dramatic reading format by the Theater Machine Ensemble.

 

Upon A Time: Myths From Tomorrow!

Friday May 8th, 6:00PM and Saturday May 9th at 12PM @BDAC

This new work is a collaborative writing of storytelling created and performed  by the Theater Machine Ensemble.  Exploring the myths of today that are creating the history of the future.   Set in the future this is an imaginative performance art piece of original tales from the young minds of the Theater Machine Ensemble.

 

Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapin

June 11-13th @ BDAC, June 19, 20th Bountiful City Park

Coming together are the  great beloved characters of our childhood stories and their misadventures all in one musical fairytale.  The Ensemble Cast will explore character roles in this artfully staged production with singing parts greatly accessible to beginning singers, dancers, and actors.  The show will be “double cast” with each performer learning two roles and will perform as both.  This artfully staged production will be presented in the BDAC gallery and in a special outdoors and “Into the Woods” show.
