Instructor is Marian Pham
In this class, we will focus on drawing the human head using Chiaroscuro and Sfumato techniques. There are many methods and processes to drawing the human head and figure. My approach is to help you train your eye to simplify shapes in light and dark values, and to develop healthy drawing habits by the end of the class. All levels of artists are welcome.
During the first four classes, we will utilize photo references to learn how to break down the drawing process into five steps: gesture, proportions, shadow shapes, edge control, and detail. For the last two classes, we will draw from a model and discuss how to use one light source for a drawing session.
