Sarah Jack Hinners, PhD. will speak at NHMU on Sunday, January 12 at 1 p.m.
Her presentation, "People, Place, Design," will examine whether we can achieve thriving, life-sustaining urban landscapes in the hot, dry West. Can urban landscapes be places of both ecological and social health and vitality?
Sarah is the Director for Ecological Planning + Design at the University of Utah and a scientist at the Landscape Lab, a 1.5-acre test of best practices in urban ecological design.
Her talk is part of our ongoing Sunday Science Salon series, presenting community leaders who share their knowledge of the natural resources, programs, and projects happening in our own backyard. Each presentation is included with Museum admission.
