Enjoy hands-on art activities, dance performances, henna, and Salt Lake City’s first color throw!
Admission Tickets for this event can be purchased in advance online at discoverygateway.org or day of the event.
Each attendee will receive one bag of colored chalk; additional bags can be purchased for $2.00 on the day of the event.
Holi or the \"festival of colors” is a popular holiday celebrated all over India! Join us for this family-friendly, cultural celebration that signifies the arrival of spring, love, joy and offers us a day to connect, play and laugh with others! This festival includes a performance of classical Indian dance from the Divya School of Dance at 12pm-1pm, get a beautiful tattoo from our Henna Artist Swapna Pattnaik from 2:30pm-3:30pm, and take part in the first color throw in Salt Lake City at the Gateway along Rio Grande! We will have three opportunities for guests to throw colored powder in front of the museum starting at 2pm, 3pm, and 3:30pm. Don’t want to get messy? Don’t worry! Come into the museum and participate in all of our other great Holi activities!

Park in the WINTER PARKING GARAGE–LEVEL +2– at The Gateway Mall. Park toward the south end of the garage and enter the elevator lobby in the southwest corner. Press +2 in the elevator to get to Discovery Gateway admissions. Parking validations may be purchased at Admissions Desk or Information Desk for $1, and they cover up to 3 hours.
