2020 Utah Poetry Festival -CANCELLED

The second annual Utah Poetry Festival is coming up April 18, 2020 on the University of Utah campus. Poets from across the state and from a variety of poetry communities will be reading and performing their work. The festival will also feature informal panels on teaching poetry at all grade levels, including panels on developing a slam poetry curricula, helping students prepare for Poetry Out Loud, and working with poems in multiple languages. All K-12 teachers are encouraged to attend and will receive teaching certification hours for the festival.

The Utah Poetry Festival is hosted by Utah’s poet laureate, Paisley Rekdal, and is funded by fellowships and grants from The Academy of American Poets and Utah Arts and Museums.

Admission Info

CANCELLED The Utah Poetry Festival is free and open to the public, and includes a lunch and afternoon reception. Registration for the festival is required, and can be done via this link to attend.
