Women Leaders Bring Together Diverse Group from Across the Nation to Clarify Vision and Ignite Action in the Local Community

(Salt Lake City, Utah)—A cohort of local women leaders is taking action in the Salt Lake City community to unite women and encourage their voices to be heard. March 20-22, 2020 at the Adobe campus in Lehi, Utah, women from the Salt Lake City area and across the nation will gather to be inspired by the stories of change makers and learn the tools necessary to take steps toward bringing their vision to life and transforming futures through courage, compassion and community. The seminar includes daily meditation, participation in an art collective, small group breakout sessions and speakers sharing their inspirational stories. Women attending the session will leave the weekend with a greater sense of connection and purpose.

Participants in 2020 Women of Vision will hear speakers sharing their personal experiences on a range of topics—from race awareness, entrepreneurship and the environment, to the path of discovering their unique vision and purpose. Many of these women saw a need in the commu- nity and are affecting change. Speakers from Utah include: women from Black Social Change Utah, a group that addresses growing awareness, questions and experiences of racism in Utah,Dr. Nalini Nadkarni, a Biology Professor at the University of Utah, two-time TED speaker, who studies the effects of deforestation and climate change, Tessa Arneson, the creator of the Maven District which focuses on curating locally-owned businesses and Kathleen Noble, thefirst female rower for the Ugandan Olympic Rowing Team, who works on comparative oncology in the Schiffman Lab at the University of Utah.

In addition, small breakout groups will give participants the opportunity to become clear on their vision and how to take steps towards making change. “Women of Vision gives women the op- portunity to be creators of their lives,” says Jaime Myers, co-founder of 2020 Women of Vision. She continues, “We’re excited to share a sacred space of inspiration, connection and possibility. Together, we’ll help women tune into their vision and map out a clear direction and next steps to bring that vision to life.”

Living consciously is a main component of the 2020 Women of Vision seminar. It is especially poignant in this election year. “Women don’t just vote once in an election, but everyday, with small daily choices,” explains Amy McDonald, co-founder of 2020 Women of Vision. “We vote with our time, resources, energy, commitments and passions."
