Utah women of action share personal stories of women who have made a significant difference in their lives and work. Hosted by Giuliana Serena of The Bee in collaboration with the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and in conjunction with UMFA's ACME LAB exhibition, Utah Women Working for Better Days!

We are excited and honored to feature the following storytellers:

Ella Blanchard - Activist, Facilitator, Femme

Erika George - Researcher, Teacher, World Traveler

Luna Banuri - Advocate, Policy Analyst, Executive Director

Ciriac Alvarez Valle - Poet, Speaker, Community Organizer

Pilar Pobil - Artist, Writer, Community Builder.

Our program will begin at 6:00pm and conclude by 7:30. Stories will be followed by a reception and viewing of the exhibition. Guests may also register to vote during this event.

The show is open to guests of all ages, though due to the content of some stories, we do recommend guests be at least 12+ years of age.

A note on seating: Please be sure to arrive by 5:45 pm to secure your seat at the event. At 5:45 pm, any remaining open seats will be offered to those on the waitlist.

The Utah Women Working for Better Days! exhibition was organized in collaboration with Better Days 2020, a local organization championing Utah women’s history across the state, and with the University of Utah’s J. Willard Marriott Library.
