Check out Wasatch County Fair Days for a week full of fun and exciting events. From the Demolitions Derby that kicks things off with a “bang” to the Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo that caps off a week a fun, the Wasatch County Fair Days is sure to have something fun for everyone to enjoy.

County Fairs celebrate a sense of community by honoring the hard work and talents of local farmers, growers, artists, and musicians. Each year folks from all over Wasatch County bring their prized vegetables, livestock, and crafts to display them at the Event Center, while the musicians and other performers take to the stage, all in an effort to claim the top spot and a chance to go onto the state fair later in the fall.

Party in the Park – Who doesn’t like free food? I know I do! The Party in the Park is put on by the County Council and is a fun night for the family. Take the night off from the kitchen with free hot dogs, drinks, and watermelon from 6 to 9 pm.

Fair Days Parade – The Wasatch County Fair has moved to 500 West and will flow north to School House Road and completing the route on 910 S, ending at 300 W. Patrons can enjoy the parade on the grass along the new baseball fields or at the Rocky Mountain Middle School, where you will find shade tress and plenty of parking. There is something fun about watching little kids get excited to see all the different floats, and of course, scurrying around to get the candy they throw out. Bring your family, and your smile, to the Fair Days Parade.

Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo – I think there is no better place to watch a rodeo in the state than in the Heber Valley. I love the cool evenings and seeing the sun sent over Wasatch Mountains from the stadium. If you’re new to Heber and never been to a rodeo, come see the one put on in your own backyard. The cowboys and cowgirls put on a great show of toughness and talent as they compete.

Finally, don’t forget the carnival going on all week, and the livestock and other crafts on display in the event center. Even if you have never been to a county fair before, it’s worth it to at least come down to the Wasatch County Event Complex and South Field Park to walk around to take in the sights, sounds, and sweet smells of celebration of tradition.
