Imagine Ballet Theatre presents "An Evening With Hans Christian Andersen""

Presented by Imagine Ballet Theatre at Peery's Egyptian Theater

An Evening of Hans Christian Andersen:

The world premiere of The Ugly Duckling by choreographer Steven Inskeep with music by Louis Moreau Gottschalk. This is a tale of not fitting in and being bullied until the ugly duckling finds his people. This is a good way to talk about this problem with you youngsters.

The Pen and the Inkwell will also be a world premiere with choreography by Raymond Van Mason and music by Chopin. This is how the pen and the inkwell can achieve nothing without the help of the author. The duet will be the man as the author and the woman representing the pen. He will be inking a love letter written by poet Patricia Campagna.

Thumbelina will have it's world premiere in Slovenia in March 2020 and it's United States premiere in April here in Ogden. The ballet is being created by Karina Elvers former dancer of the Royal Danish Ballet to compiled score. The ballet will follow little Thumbelina from season to season meeting such characters along the way as fieldmice, maybugs, mole, spiders, dancing leaves, snowballs, butterflies, frogs, fish and Elves.
