Sketch Session online - open to all

Sketch Session online - open to all

Presented by Arts Council of Magna at Online/Virtual Space

Artwork can be quite a complicated  process , but it can also be rewarding to start with one of the more basic techniques - black pencil on white paper.  No matter your age or level of artistic experience (or talent) this session is open to you to get an introduction to the form.

This class session will be done online as a "Facebook Live" session, viewable by anyone who can read posts on Facebook.  Only the instructor will be on camera, but other participants can post written comments and questions, and even add pictures of their own progress in the comment section. (Optional)

Session leader is artist Serenity Forschen, who has conducted more than a dozen previous group painting class sessions for the Magna Arts Council.

Here are the key details:

Date: Thursday, May 21st
Time: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Free to watch, live or as a re-play at your own time after the event.

Watch on the Magna Arts Council Facebook page, found at:

http://www.facebook.com/MagnaArts

It will be a Facebook Live streaming meeting that can be watched by anyone who can normally view Facebook. You can watch on your phone, or your desktop computer, or you can even use a “Smart TV” or Roku type service to watch on your TV.

After the live session it will also be re-posted for anyone wishing to watch it later.

Participants should plan on obtaining their own pencils and paper before the session. This part is a bit flexible, but you'll probably be happier with the results if you start with pencils & paper designed for artwork instead of the most basic office & school products.  Art supply shops and online sellers have many good options for this.
