For the first time in its 40-year history, The Salt Lake Children's Choir, Ralph B. Woodward, founder-director, will provide an online video stream concert.  In place of the live concert planned for this May, the choir will post last year's outstanding performance (held in Salt Lake City's beautiful St. Ambrose Church) on YouTube --Saturday, May 16 at 7 PM.  Both ensembles of the choir (members ages 8 -15) will be heard in a program ranging from works of Haydn, Brahms and other immortal masters, to captivating melodies and rhythms from Wales, Slovakia, Macedonia and Brazil. Also heard will be two much-loved Spirituals and the popular American standard, "On the Sunny Side of the Street," featuring celebrated jazz pianist, Steve Keen (who also provides colorful accordion and guitar accompaniment on the  program).  The concert will conclude with the director's  "Psalm 23" and the choir's signature song, "A Day in Spring," joined by former choir members. The Choir  is definitely still singing and warmly welcomes all to this special presentation.
