“Coronavirus Can’t Stop Us” from providing an educational, fun and interactive Youth Showcase this summer!  Using on-line and on-site experiences allowed by state social distancing guidelines, we will provide a program that will help aspiring musical theater performers learn the following:

Audition skills
Vocal performance skills
Acting skills
Dance skills
Design elements of theatrical productions – Costumes, sets, makeup, hair and wig design, scenic painting
Technical elements of productions – Lighting, Sound, Stage Management
And so much more!

Our on-site and virtual program will be held Monday through Friday from June 8-27. On-site instruction will be in small group and will be held in the morning by appointment. On-line instruction and tutorials will be posted on a closed Facebook page. Zoom meetings will connect the students and directors so they can interact in real time. Participants will spend time at home practicing vocals and choreography as well as completing hands-on activities to demonstrate skills learned from the design and technical theater tutorials. Instruction on how to do videos, how to post them and do Zoom sessions will be given. Participants will post videos of themselves singing, dancing and acting and will receive valuable feedback from the directors. Youth will post projects from the design classes and the cast craft on the Facebook page to “show and tell” their work. A cast t-shirt is given to all cast members. The workshop will end with a bang as families gather around their computers to watch a final performance video featuring all of the participants!
