Virtual Coyote Tales

Presented by Coyote Tales at Online/Virtual Space

The Show Will Go On...Virtually!

As we enter another month of social distance uncertainty, it’s clear; things are not back to normal. But that’s not stopping us! We are excited to announce the Second Virtual Coyote Tales Storytelling Event!  The date for the event is, Friday, June 26th and the theme for the evening’s stories is, “Gratitude.” As always, our goal with these events is to foster the important connection of community through the beauty and craft of well-told stories. We are pleased to welcome tellers from across the nation to this event, but we need you too!

Share your story. Please consider submitting a true, on-theme, first person, story for possible inclusion. Storytellers may interpret the theme in any way they chose. Use your smartphone to record the audio and video of you telling your 3 minute tale.  *Hints – Hold your phone horizontally when recording. It produces a better video. And, your video should be of only you telling the story. Props, accompaniments and visual aids are not allowed. Then, when you are ready to share your tale, shoot Victoria an email and I will send you a link to upload your video to our site. Our panel of judges will choose the top ten submissions and then post them on the Coyote Tales website the evening of the show.

Log on to “see” the show.  On June 26th, watch the stories online and then vote for your favorite. The top three stories will split a $400 purse generously provided by Utah Humanities and our first Virtual Coyote Tales winner, Jesse Ehrlich. The Grand prize is $250 and second and third place winners will receive $100 and $50 respectively. Bragging rights go to all the winners!

Need inspiration?  Relive the magic of the First Virtual Coyote Tales.  Each and every story of this unique evening was a winner.

Please watch for more details on the Coyote Tales website https://coyotetalesstories.com/.

We are disheartened that we can’t gather with you to hear these stories live as a community like we usually do, but we are really looking forward to future live events at Zion Brewery Station 2.  *As always proceeds from live events are donated to local charities.

Everyone has a story.

This event generously sponsored by Utah Humanities, Desert Dweller, Zion Brewery Station 2 and Petite Feast. As always proceeds from live events are donated to local charities.
