Ogden residents are set to showcase local art right in their own front yards. The Nurture the Creative Mind Lawn Mural Project will be taking over downtown Ogden June 7th through 14th. Over 17 households will host murals painted live during previous Ogden Arts Festival events to celebrate and highlight the importance and impact of art in our community.

This city-wide exhibit will also honor the Ogden Arts Festival and bring awareness to the impact its 2020 cancelation, due to Covid-19, has had on the managing organization and local non-profit Nurture the Creative Mind. The project will act as a fundraiser with purchase options available for murals and NCM will be accepting personal, corporate, and business donations during this time.

“Love that we can help recoup some funds for Nurture the Creative Mind with this great community project. The Ogden Arts Festival may be cancelled this year, but our drive to provide free programs to youth will never be postponed” says Danielle Bendinelli, Director of the Ogden Arts Festival.” We encourage community members to donate what would have been their $5 entry fee to the festival directly to NCM to help keep the organization running.”

Mural Experience Guidelines:

1. This is meant to be a driving or biking exhibit

2. Please practice social distancing

3. Please respect the property of the community members hosting murals. If you are going to take a photo, please do so from your vehicle or sidewalk
