Ever wondered if you could be a filmmaker? Curious about the different jobs that go into making a film? This 2-night online workshop will introduce you to the basics of the business.
You’re interested in being a filmmaker, but you’re not sure where to start.
This 2-night online workshop will take a brief look at independent film history, the modern indie film climate, the various crew positions that are crucial to most film productions, and some of the preliminary steps to take toward turning your ideas into potential film projects. We will also discuss some local organizations and resources that may be helpful to you as a new filmmaker.
This workshop is designed to help attendees decide which area of filmmaking they are most interested in and suited for. It will also help them start to think of their story ideas in a more cinematic way, and feeds really well into the other workshops that are available at the Artist Foundry.
Taught by filmmaker and Artist Foundry founder Dallin Cerva. Limited to 12 filmmakers. For ages 18+
