Money 101 is a virtual summer camp for middle and high school age students designed to help youth understand the important role money plays in our lives.
Westminster College’s Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business and the Center for Financial Analysis host Money 101—a summer camp.
The virtual camp’s 5 half-day sessions aim to simplify one of the more complex concepts of “adulting” through "live" interaction, "hands-on" activities, and individual instruction. This camp goes beyond basic financial literacy—students experience the process of buying and financing a house, applying for and managing credit cards, applying to and financing a college education, purchasing, financing and insuring their first car, and finally, creating, financing, and managing a small business. Additionally, participants will also spend time discussing managing money, investments, credit, and personal budgeting through a mix of presentations, discussions, and activities delivered by successful students from various Westminster business majors.
