CJ Drisdom began making an impact in the community almost immediately after he arrived in Utah from Compton California over 12 years ago. He was instrumental in the planning and organization of the recent Black History Month Excellence concerts. He and his band, Changing Lanes, draw large crowds to the Gallivan Center in August when they perform their Motown Classic Hits Show. CJ brings new artists to the spotlight, giving them opportunities to perform within the Changing Lanes organization’s bands, through Lighthouse Studios,, or making introductions to other bands or performance opportunities like Excellence. He is the Utah Black Chamber's entertainment ambassador, he facilitates all relationships and events that involve entertaining the community. The chamber appreciates his gifts and talents as a bassist and vocalist, and also his leadership, and willingness to work to bring change to Utah.
