Presented by Renaissance Now Theatre & Film at Rock Canyon Trailhead Amphitheatre

King Lear, by William Shakespeare, is arguably Shakespeare\'s greatest work on July 18, 21,23,25.  Free to the public, (donations appreciated on the reservations only website) a Full production, modified Medieval costumes,  set in the outdoor small audience amphitheatre, will allow for safety in viewing, according to the state restrictions for Covid-19.  Masks required. Directed by Dr, Kathy Curtiss, with Marvin Payne in the title role. The Rock Canyon Trailhead amphitheatre is located at 1502 E. 2300 N. in Provo above the Provo Temple.  A short discussion/event sponsored by the Utah Humanities will precede each show at 7 pm.  Seating at 6:45.  All information is located at renaissncenow.com.  Reservations only for 40 per night, through the eventbrite reservations on the renaissancenow.com website.  Each ticket must be reserved separately to account for our state restricted numbers in attendance.

The show features Marvin Payne, Joel Applegate, Logan Murphy, Will Ingram, Josh Needles, Cristian Bell, Olivia Caspar, Aspen Thompsen, Maren Lethbridge, Alice Ellsworth, Ryan Hopkin, Merick Masters, Riki Squires, and Colt Brown.  Gavin Henry designs set and lighting, KD Olsen stage manages. Produced as part of Summer Shakespeare by Renaissance Now Theatre & Film. MWF (July 17, 20, 22, 24) offers Matt Herrick\'s \"A Midsummer Night\'s Dream\"

Admission Info

Free Shakespeare,  suggested donations at $10 students/seniors and $15 general. Any donation accepted, but each ticket must be reserved at renaissancenow.com clicking on the eventbrite tab to assure crowd size is accurate to state restrictions.
