90-Second Newbery Film Festival

90-Second Newbery Film Festival

Presented by Salt Lake City Public Library and Treehouse Children's Museum and Orem Public Library and Utah Humanities at Online/Virtual Space

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds.

For eight years we've screened the best kid-made movies annually in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and many other cities—including right here in Utah!

This year's screening will be made virtual for you and yours to enjoy from the comfort of your homes. Dress up the whole family for the at-home screening, which will be launched Saturday, October 3rd at noon! Link to be provided soon! The screening is hosted by the fabulous children's authors James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish). We'll be showing movies made by kids in Utah and some of the best from around the country.

(Interested in making your own 90-Second Newbery for next year? You can find complete details, plus video resources, at the 90-Second Newbery website: http://www.90secondnewbery.com.)

This event is made possible with support from The City Library, the Treehouse Children's Museum, Orem Public Library, and Utah Humanities.
