Join us September 5-6 for the VIRTUAL 2020 Queer Spectra Arts Festival, a space for multidisciplinary LGBTQ+ art.
Queer Spectra Arts Festival is a multidisciplinary LGBTQ+ arts festival dedicated to making space for queer artists to showcase their works and share their ideas with the greater Salt Lake community. This year’s festival features artworks by over 20 different LGBTQ+ artists from across the country. Their works focus on the theme, “The Risk of Representation,” interrogating the importance of LGBTQ+ representation in art, which is often considered taboo or is subject to censure. The Festival will host a virtual gallery for audiences to explore over the course of the weekend. Additionally, audiences can experience live-streamed dance performances, as well as an online workshop, two artist panel discussions, and a live-streamed keynote presentation by dance maker Ya-Ya Fairley.
Free/Suggested $5-10 donation.
