2020 Vice Presidential Debate

USA Today Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page will moderate the vice presidential debate on Oct. 7 at the University of Utah.

The debate will be divided into nine segments of approximately 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

The nonpartisan, nonprofit Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) selected the University of Utah to host the vice presidential debate on Oct. 7, 2020, at Kingsbury Hall, Nancy Peery Marriott Auditorium.

Tickets are not available at this time.

Due to health and safety protocols, ticketing will be extremely limited. Ticketing and the size of the live audience will be determined by the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) in consultation with their Health Security Advisor Cleveland Clinic and Utah State medical officials.

The Vice Presidential Debate will air live on ABC, CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, FOX, NBC and PBS at 9:00pm ET / 7:00pm MT.
