The Night Witches follows the brave women of the all-female 588th Night Bomber Regiment of the Soviet Air Forces through one fateful evening at the height of World War II.
Nina and Vera are moments away from their first combat mission as members of the formidable, all-female 588th Night Bomber Regiment—the “Night Witches.” As they fight their nerves, the women around them remind them what they are fighting for: honor, family, survival, the love of Mother Russia. But their planes are fragile, their reserves are low, and the enemy is waiting. When the time comes, to the sky they must go--ready or not. Through movement, song, and lyrical dialogue, this live-streamed production follows these brave women through one fateful evening at the height of World War II, as they venture into the sky and beyond.
