Join the UVU Symphony in their first concert of the season to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth.
The Symphony Orchestra is the premiere classical music ensemble at UVU, featuring strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Join them in their first concert of the season to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. They will be playing Beethoven’s 4th Symphony, a very genial piece that was admired by Berlioz, Mendelssohn, and Schumann. In addition, the Orchestra will play Dr. Reed Criddle’s piano concerto called John Muir in Utah. The piece was composed for the opening of the Noorda Center and will be performed by Hilary Demske, the head of UVU’s piano studio. Dr. Criddle, head of UVU’s choir program, and Cheung Chau, director of the Symphony Orchestra, will both conduct this concert.
