Legend of Sleepy Hollow live on Stage

Legend of Sleepy Hollow live on Stage

Presented by Parker Theatre at Parker Theatre

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow made famous by Disney's short animated feature relates the tale of Ichabod Crane, a lean, lanky and extremely superstitious schoolmaster from Connecticut, who desires to get rich by winning the hand of Katrina Van Tassel, the sole daughter of wealthy farmer.

On an autumn night, Ichabod attends a harvest party where he dances, partakes in the feast, and listens to ghostly legends of the headless horseman told by the locals.

After the party, Ichabod rides home on his temperamental horse named Gunpowder where he meets the headless horseman through the woods In a frenzied race to the bridge adjacent to the Old Dutch Burying Ground, where the Horseman is said to "vanish, according to rule, in a flash of fire and brimstone" before crossing it, Ichabod rides for his life down the Hollow.
