Write in support of fighting street harassment in Utah’s first Chalk Back, hosted by activist and founder of @catcallsofsaltlakecity.
Join Utah's very first Chalk Back, a community chalking event against street harassment. Attendees will foster a safe, brave space, spur conversations, and raise awareness around street harassment by sharing their stories in washable chalk on the sidewalks. The event is open to people of all genders, and if you don't have an experience of street harassment, don't worry! Feel free to chalk cats, hashtags and other causes that are important to you. Masks, hand sanitizer and chalk will be provided, but if you have your own, please bring it so we can provide those resources to those who need it.
It will be hosted by @catcallsofsaltlakecity, and activist and founder of @catcallsofsaltlakecity will be organizing, answering questions and chalking. @catcallsofsaltlakecity is the only active Utah branch of chalkback.org, an international chalk art movement that began with @catcallsofnyc and now reaches over 100 Instagram accounts and chalk activists around the world!
The Chalk Back will be held in the cement pathway loop directly ahead/inside of the 9th South (the North) entrance of Liberty Park. We hope to see you there! DM @catcallsofsaltlakecity on Instagram with questions.
