Odyssey Dance Theatre (ODT) will round out its 26th year with its popular Shut Up & Dance series—three separate programs in repertory--before they head out for their 15th European Tour.
Odyssey’s Spring Repertory Season where the dancers stretch their artistic muscle and create new, exciting works is a dance lover’s buffet, with something for everyone. Deseret News said, “Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Shut Up and Dance season only proves that it is a company to be taken seriously. Bravo!”

Sledgehammer
This 40-minute Peter Gabriel Suite, choreographed by Artistic Director Derryl Yeager, was one of the first major works created for Odyssey. Sledgehammer is a blue-collar rock ballet--an ode to the common man that takes the audience on an exciting, touching, heartbreaking and heartwarming journey through everyday life. Danced in work jeans and t-shirts, this piece includes such Gabriel classics as Sledgehammer, Don't Give Up, In Your Eyes, Mercy Street, We Do What We're Told, and Big Time.
Let It Be
Back by popular demand, Let It Be is a full-length smash hit at home and on tour. The Beatles Anthology includes tunes such as Yesterday, Come Together, and Help. “Let it Be offers pieces of Brilliance and Nostalgia!”-Salt Lake Tribune. The show captures a lot of the humor in the Beatles’ songs and is for those who love dance and those who think they know nothing about dance.
