The 2020 Day of the Dead Celebration will be held almost entirely online from October 19 through November 5, 2020. The celebration includes three art exhibits on display at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (October 5 to November 5, 2020), a video series of performance groups, family activities, the La Catrina/El Catrin contest, and an online community ofrenda.

Community Ofrenda
The community ofrenda is a place to honor our loved ones who have passed on. The photo and name of your loved one will be displayed in a slideshow on this page, as well as on a screen in the Celebration Gallery at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. To allow family and friends to leave remarks, the photo, name and a short caption will be included in a photo album on the West Valley Arts Facebook page.

La Catrina/El Catrin Contest
This year's contest will be held entirely via Facebook. All entries will be included in a Facebook photo album, with voting beginning October 19 through November 2, 2020. Each reaction or comment will be counted as a vote for that entry. Prizes will be awarded to the three entries with the most votes. Contest prizes are sponsored by Toyota. "Toyota, vayamos juntos"
