AMERICAN SOUP by ANDREW ALBA
Born and raised in SLC, UT Andrew Alba's work is informed by his life experience. As a self-taught artist and descendant of Mexican migrant workers, he uses his art to evoke an emotional response and provide relevant commentary on contemporary politics and society.

Alba's most recent body of work, "American Soup," produced during his residency Upstairs@MW, marks our first one person show featured in our location on the Westside of SLC, UT. Modern West is honored to premiere Alba's important body of work commenting on American history, living as a person of color during the age of COVID 19, police brutality, and social uprising in the United States.
