Please join us for another special Film Friday opportunity to hear a discussion between Paloma Martinez, Morales Fellow for the Dpt. of Film & Media Arts, and Chair Andrew Patrick Nelson, as they explore Paloma’s film following young Marcel McClinton as he runs for Houston City Council.

“From the creators of HBO’s “Running with Beto” comes the coming-of-age documentary “Ready or Not,” which follows 17-year-old activist Marcel McClinton through his quest to unseat a powerful incumbent on Houston City Council. Charismatic & outspoken, McClinton is an unlikely but compelling candidate as he wrestles with the pressures of running a citywide campaign while attending high school.”
