Up Close and Personal: Safety and Artistry in Fight and Intimacy Direction

Up Close and Personal: Safety and Artistry in Fight and Intimacy Direction

Presented by Utah Shakespeare Festival at Online/Virtual Space

A little known behind-the-scenes piece of theatre is fight and intimacy direction. Moments of violence and intimacy are important aspects of many plays, and they must be directed and choreographed so audience and company members are safe and comfortable while maintaining the integrity of the action and story. This virtual seminar offers a chance to hear from two of the best in this field: Paul Dennhardt and Caitlyn Herzlinger. Artistic Director Brian Vaughn moderates.
