The Oasis This Time: Living & Dying with Water...

Presented by Swaner EcoCenter and Utah Humanities at Online/Virtual Space

Water, the most critical fluid on the planet, is seen as savior, benefactor, and Holy Grail in many arid North American communities. Fluvial geologist and former river guide Rebecca Lawton will explore this topic when she joins us for a reading and conversation about her latest book of essays, The Oasis This Time: Living & Dying with Water in the West. This event is presented in conjunction with the Smithsonian exhibition Water|Ways, on display at the Swaner EcoCenter December 19, 2020 to March 27, 2021.

Water|Ways is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and Utah Humanities, touring in partnership with the Swaner.
